It's time to Roadeo! SEPTA is a phenomenal partner, and alongside PPTA's Rodeo Committee, we are busy working closely together to prepare an outstanding experience for all.

Judges & Volunteers

Based on this year's facilities and associated requirements and set up needs, volunteers involved with the course set up are asked to arrive in Philadelphia by 10:00 AM, Friday, 7/20, in order to help set up the courses if possible. We recognize beginning set up on Friday morning is a departure from past years, and earlier than normal. We are hopeful for a solid turnout, as the more hands building the course, the quicker and the better. See the attendee registration form for a discount available to Friday's course-building volunteers.)

Also, a special rate has been secured for parking with the hotel for those planning to bring a vehicle to the city ($24/day, rather than the typical $48). SEPTA will also be providing a system-wide all-access transit pass to each person attending the Summer Meeting & Roadeo.

Roadeo Contestant Qualifications

At a minimum, participants should be a full or part-time operator for not less than one (1) year and should have not had a preventable accident within the calendar year prior to the Roadeo.
In addition, the contestants should generally have a good attendance record and should not have been subject to punitive action during the prior calendar year.
Each PPTA member is responsible for ensuring that their participants meet these qualifications.
Each PPTA member is permitted to enter three (3) operators in each classification - Bus and Paratransit.
For PPTA members who sub-contract services, those sub-contractors shall be allowed to enter operators, however, the sub-contractors' entrants shall be included in the members' limit of three (3) participants per category.

Registration for Meeting and Roadeo

We will utilize a paper registration form this year. Also, we are set up to primarily accept payment by check. Further details are noted in the attached registration forms.

Please help us by completing all fields requested in these forms. As our host, SEPTA is working to provide several no-cost and a few special low-cost opportunities to experience Philadelphia while you're in town for the Summer Meeting & Roadeo. We ask that you indicate the number of people in your party that would be interested in participating in these events. PPTA will follow up with additional information on the activities you select.
